Job Description:
Director of Donor Recruitment (Marketing)
US-based preferred (open to candidates aligned with US time-zones) | Hybrid with travel | Compensation: $100,000 to $145,000 + performance incentives
We are recruiting on behalf of one of the world's most respected sperm donor banks, a globally recognised organisation with a strong clinical reputation, a growing international footprint, and a genuine, daily impact on people's ability to build families. They are not simply looking to fill a seat. They are looking for someone to own, shape, and grow a donor recruitment function that will play a central role in the next chapter of their story.
If you have spent years in donor recruitment marketing within the sperm banking or broader fertility sector, and you have meaningful campaigns, real results, and hard-won experience behind you, we would love to hear from you.
What the role involves
Donor recruitment is one of the most important strategic priorities for this organisation, and they are putting real investment behind getting it right. The Director of Donor Recruitment (Marketing) is a hands-on, senior role with genuine scope and visibility.
You will take ownership of the full donor acquisition journey, from building awareness through to application and qualification. That means leading performance marketing across Meta, Google, and YouTube, with a thoughtful approach to creative testing, audience refinement, and landing page optimisation. You will also develop SEO strategy and drive organic growth, always ensuring the brand speaks authentically and compliantly to the right people, primarily men aged 21 to 40 who could be a great fit as donors.
The role extends beyond digital too. You will lead campus and community-based outreach, build partnerships with universities and relevant organisations, and spend around 35 to 50% of your time travelling to support on-the-ground efforts. You will also take ownership of selecting and putting in place the right marketing software and systems, covering CRM, campaign management, analytics, and reporting. Throughout all of this, you will have direct access to executive leadership and the freedom to do things properly.
What success looks like
In your first six to twelve months, the measures of a great start are straightforward: more donor applications coming through, a healthier qualified donor rate, reduced cost per acquisition, a clearer and more consistent brand presence, and reporting that gives the team genuine visibility into what is working. You will not be left to figure this out alone. There is strong organisational support behind this role.
Who would be a great fit
You bring 7+ years of experience in donor recruitment marketing (sperm, eggs or plasma). You have led a full acquisition strategy before, not just supported one, and you have the results to point to. You are comfortable with data and performance metrics, confident in paid social and digital channels, and hold Meta Advertising and YouTube Advertising certifications.
Just as important is the human side. This work sits at the heart of something deeply meaningful. Every donor who comes through the process represents a real possibility for a family somewhere. The right person for this role will carry that with them and find real motivation in it.
US-based candidates are preferred, but we are genuinely open to strong candidates based elsewhere who can comfortably align with US time-zones and meet the travel requirements.
Why this opportunity is worth exploring
You will be joining an organisation that is serious about this function, with executive backing, proper resources, and the freedom to build things the right way from the start. The compensation reflects the level of the role, and performance incentives mean your contribution is recognised. More than that, this is work with a clear and tangible purpose. Every donor recruited is a step toward someone's family, and that is something worth being part of.
